Megan (@celluloidheroez), one of the most creative and talented people I know, needs to reach her goal of $3,000 by March 24th in order for her senior thesis film to be funded! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone as passionate and hardworking as she is, and she means the world to me! Not to mention that her filmmaking skills are mind-blowing; this girl is only 21, yet she has the wisdom and perspective of someone way beyond her years — she’s pretty much a female Yoda!
Please, consider donating anything you can (money-wise, of course… although, I think she’d readily accept alcohol and food); you won’t regret it! I’m being completely serious when I say that this won’t be the last you hear of Megan; she’s going to go far in this business, and I can’t wait to watch her collect her Oscar!
Random Act Of Weirdness of the Day: A potentially-inebriated gentleman reportedly entered a Boston Starbucks on St. Patrick’s Day and showered patrons with $100 in singles all while yelling “I’m rich, I’m rich,” then turned around and left.
If the secret millionaire’s motive was to watch people go nut for dollars, the plan apparently failed: “Nobody scrambled for the money like you would think you would,” a customer told Fox25 News. “I think we were all looking at it wondering who’s going to make the first move.”
The cash was eventually collected by a Starbucks employee, and will be donated to help earthquake relief efforts in Japan.
